Ticketsystem

What is Venda?

Venda is a new cash-free ticket vending system in the regions of Chur, Davos and Upper Engadine, as well as on various Postbus routes throughout the canton of Graubünden. New VendaAutomat machines replace existing machines on buses and at bus stops/RhB stations in these regions. From now on, you can also buy your e-ticket directly at the most frequented Chur Bus stops.

What is the reason behind having a new system?

ChipCard/EASYDRIVE terminals have to be replaced as they have reached, after 25 years of their operation, the end of their useful life. This is why Venda, Graubünden's new ticket vending system, is being rolled out in the three regions where these terminals were in use. With Venda, a more contemporary and customer-friendly replacement has been found.

Can I pay in cash for tickets when buying them from bus drivers?

No. You can pay in cash for VendaPrepaid cards bought from bus drivers. You can use this disposable prepaid bearer card worth CHF 10 or CHF 20 to buy your ticket from a VendaAutomat machine. You can still buy your ticket online, via an app (sbb.ch, ÖV-Plus, Fairtiq), at a ticket counter or from a ticket vending machine.

Is the ticket personal?

The VendaProfit discount is linked to a specific SwissPass cardholder and can only be bought from VendaAutomat machines.

Can I buy a VendaPrepaid card at public transport ticket counters or from SBB ticket vending machines too?

VendaPrepaid cards are only available from Chur Bus, Verkehrsbetrieb Davos, Engadin Bus, St. Moritz Local Bus and some PostBus drivers, where chauffeur sales were discontinued. In addition, the VendaPrepaid cards can be purchased at the sales points of Chur Bus, Engadin Bus, VBD ticket counter, RhB and Engadine Tourist Information.

Can TWINT also be used to pay when buying from VendaAutomat machines?

Yes. You add the ticket to your SwissPass and pay for it with TWINT. You need to use your SwissPass as a (carrier) card.

Can I check directly at the vending machine whether or not the ticket has been linked to my card?

In addition to selling tickets, the VendaAutomat offers other functions:

If you press the My Tickets button, you will be asked to log in using your payment method: your credit/debit or VendaPrepaid card. Then you will see details of your recent purchases on the screen. If you need a receipt, you can download it now. To do so, please scan the QR code shown.

If you have logged in using a VendaPrepaid card, you can also see its current credit balance.

SwissPass holders log in via the start screen. They can also see all details of your recent purchases.

VendaProfit und Kundenkonto

Can I benefit from the discount on single rides and day passes if I do not have a VendaProfit account?

No, you can obtain the discount only if you sign up for a VendaProfit customer account (venda.ch/portal).

Does my child also need a SwissPass?

Yes, your child needs a SwissPass and a VendaProfit customer account to benefit from the discount.

If you travel with your child, we recommend buying a Junior Travelcard or you can add, as a SwissPass holder, further tickets to your SwissPass that will enable you to travel together, e.g., a ticket for your child. All other tickets are sold at their regular rate (without discount).

Can a group also benefit from VendaProfit?

No. The VendaProfit and the group discounts do not add up. A group of ten or more people enjoys a group discount of 30%.
